The Next band night is the 1st gig off 2007 and it kicks off on January 19th Featuring Currahe with support from Local Band Bloodlust & The Invisibles.

4/12/06 - With what appears to be the last alternative night of 2006 arriving on 15/12/06 we will then look forward to 2007 which will possibly be the most eventful year in the clubs history. Got some big things planned, AlternativeSkegness is in talks to bring Frenzy Fest to skegness next year for a few gigs, For those not sure what Frenzy is will bring more news on that soon. We are also planning to get some bigger bands in. As well as that we have some awesome bands booked for you such as Smokescreen, Evil Scarecrow, Backwash, Dirty Protest, Fletch Cadillac & Much More. We also look to get a much more diverse range of bands in from Punk, Metal, Ska, Indie, Blues, EMO, Jazz, Reggae etc to build up the club as a proper rock club that will get people coming down from across the country to see bands & also planning to do an Open Mic Night sometime. Hopefully from April onwards hope to move the band nights from 3 weeks down to 2 weeks and a possible Alternative DJ night every friday during the summer. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

2/12/06 - The new team has made a mark already, Fat Louis has now become a vuable venue to host the Alternative Nights as of last night & Also may have use of the Library once again to go up after bands finish, This may be a one time thing though. Will keep you posted as things become more Final, Bev & Paul (The Hosts of the band Nights back in 2005) Are back on the team following Nicks departure Meaning sound is sorted for every gig now. Underagers are allowed back in the club but under a new system where Legal Drinkers get a pen mark/stamp on their hand when they enter the club & only those people can get served for alcohol. Any underagers drinking risk not only losing the band nights but for the club to lose its license altogether. But come check out the bands by all means. Next Band Night is on 15/12/06 & Features The Siege, Demi-Reps & Rigollo. Everythings FINALLY running smoothly, Theres alot of Support going into the club now from the team & from the Manager/Owner. Stay tuned & see you at Alternative Night

Dimebag Darrell Tribute Gig this Friday feturing Hokum & Reuben’s 1st 2 go to join Stain of Death and the headlining TorsoHorse.
Gates open at 9pm and Bands start at 9.30, Free admission.

April 14, Dimebag Darrell Tribute Gig featuring TorsoHorse, Stain of Death and support, The Band night moves down to strikes underneath the beach bar which means more room, The club now has huge support practical and finacial in the owner andf the new team so the alternative scene can now get back on its feet, This could very well be the biggest gig skegness has seen in years with Torsohorse as they have had videos shown on Kerrang, Scuzz & MTV2 & they have a fantical following in the UK, They are a true underground band. The Police are cracking down on underage drinkers & Drugs, If you are underage you are welcome to see the bands but if you go to the bar you are risking losing the club for us after all the hard work so be careful. thanks to all who have helped and showed support. The new DJ team is going to lisen to the audience so if you have any requests we dont have we will do our ebst to get it for you next time also if you want your stuff played bring cds and we will do our best, If you have a band and would like to play get in touch. Thanks

This Friday March 10, at the beach bar sees the next band night starring the phobias and making their skegness debut dirty protest, doors open at 9pm and bands start at 9.30pm, in April we will be having a dimebag darrell from pantera tribute gig, the headlining band will be torsohorse, hope to see everyone their as this is possibly the biggest band to be seen in the beach bar.

Bands Nights return once a month, Following the big turnout and success of the 10th february band night return for ProDaz's 18th organised by Nick Briggs and Stacey Lazenby and run at the beach bar, We have got the green light to go ahead with a monthly band night, The next one will return on Friday 10th March, Bands have yet to be announced but This site will let you know as news becomes available.

***BREAKING NEWS*** Bands return to beach bar for the 1st time since October 2005, coming friday 10th February for ProDaz's 18th, this friday come see the dispunktionals, social directive and the phobias, Come and make the turnout bigger, this may be a one off or could be a test to see if band nights can generate money. so come and make it happen, Hope to see you all there...

Friday 10th February @9-10pm, On This up and coming friday night it will be a special party, ProDaz's *Me* 18th and you are all invited, apparently there are a few big surprises planned and in whole will be a good night and from how it appears a big turnout. all come and have a good time and It will mean the world to me if you are all there not just for me but for yourself as its promised to be an awesome night. Also the bigger the turnout the more chance we have of gettin band nights back as the place knows we want them and we are in negotiations with them but keep showing up and show your support. Hope to see all you there.

On the 27th January, the Alternative night started up again in the beach bar after a 3 month hiatus. The turnout for the reopening showed that the Demand for the alternative nights to be back was in indeed high. We also determined that demand for band nights to return to skegness is high as well, We must do all we can to persuade The beach bar or other venues that there is alot of demand and money to be made in hosting live bands. Keep coming to the alternative nights and every chance you have try to persuade the DJ and people behind the bar that you want them back and lets keep them turnouts high.
